MYSURU — A wild leopard was successfully captured on Thursday after it brazenly violated municipal property rights by taking a nap under a 90-year-old woman's cot in Siddhartha Layout, a residential development conveniently constructed directly over the animal's natural hunting grounds.

"This marks the latest in a string of unprovoked wildlife intrusions," said a city planning official, noting that leopards have recently been spotted disrespecting the boundaries of a nearby warehouse, a luxury apartment complex, and the Infosys campus. "We paved over the Chamundi foothills entirely according to government regulations. It is frankly disappointing that the local fauna refuses to read the updated master plan and continues to wander through our lucrative real estate."

Local developers, who have successfully converted thousands of acres of scrub vegetation into high-yield concrete blocks, praised the Forest Department for its rapid response. Authorities confirmed the captured animal will be relocated to a smaller, more distant patch of forest, which developers noted is already scheduled for deforestation and villa construction sometime in 2028.

The 90-year-old resident was rescued safely from the premises, though wildlife veterinarians noted the leopard appeared completely docile and mostly just confused as to why humans had placed a wooden cot and a television set in the middle of its favorite shrub.
