The official, alongside a former cabinet minister who recently cited the government's "drift" and "overcautiousness," demanded an immediate "battle of ideas" to correct the party's trajectory. Internal communications confirm this fierce ideological war will consist exclusively of securing MP endorsements, maneuvering for upcoming by-elections, and carefully avoiding any discussion of actual policy.

"We need bigger solutions and a bold vision, and that vision begins with securing the necessary numbers in parliament," said a campaign ally. "Once the proper faction has assumed control of the leadership apparatus, we can begin the arduous work of determining what our ideas actually are."
