SRINAGAR — In the aftermath of a devastating cloudburst in Kishtwar that claimed over 60 lives, opposition leaders have mobilized an extensive emergency response consisting entirely of a poster campaign accusing the Chief Minister of being completely disconnected from the people's suffering.

"While the ruling government is more concerned about political optics, our party is shoulder to shoulder with the people," an opposition spokesperson said, standing next to a freshly glued, full-color placard calling the Chief Minister 'missing.' The spokesperson noted that local leaders are "visibly active on the ground," ensuring that maximum structural wall space across the region is covered with printed materials reminding residents that the government has failed them.

The strategy of loudly denouncing the Chief Minister's insensitivity serves as a cornerstone of the party's disaster management framework. Similar public service initiatives were deployed in 2014, when the party assisted the public by accusing the government of outsourcing 24,000 jobs, and later provided further aid by issuing statements about the Chief Minister's failure to honor Maharaja Hari Singh's birth anniversary.

"The public needs to know who is truly prioritizing their welfare in these dark times," the spokesperson added, directing a team of workers to apply another layer of adhesive to a poster before it could be washed away by the ongoing rain.
